Information We Collect from Other Sources

For example, we may collect information from other companies in the ABG corporate family, licensing partners, marketing and advertising partners, data analytics providers, service providers, vendors, social media sites or similar third-party services, and mailing list providers. In addition, we may receive your personal information from other consumers, such as friends and family who, for example, send you gifts through the Services. Information collected from these other sources may include contact information (such as name, phone number, or shipping address), device and usage information (such as IP address and inferred geolocation), demographic information, rewards program participation, and data about your interests, preferences, and shopping habits.

Information We Derive

We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may infer your approximate location based on your IP address or infer that you are looking to purchase certain products based on your browsing behavior and past purchases.

SECURITY OF INFORMATION

We protect your personal information by implementing and maintaining appropriate technical and organizational measures, consistent with legal requirements where the personal information was obtained, to safeguard the security of the personal information we maintain. Where required by law, we require any third parties receiving your personal information to commit to standards required under data protection laws by entering into contracts with them.

The Services are operated from the United States and intended for individuals located in the United States. If you are located anywhere outside of the United States, please be aware that information we collect, including personal information, will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States. The data protection laws in the United States may differ from those of the country in which you are located, and your personal information may be subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement in the United States according to laws of the United States. TARGETED ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS

We engage others to deliver advertising targeted to your interests on other companies’ sites or mobile apps and to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, better understand your activity, and perform related services across the web and in mobile applications. To do so, these entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites and mobile apps, including your IP address, web browser, and mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in mobile apps, links clicked, and conversion information. In addition, we may share identifiers, like email addresses and phone numbers, with some of our advertising partners. DISCLOSURES OF INFORMATION

We or our vendors and service providers may disclose information about you. We may disclose personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and in the following circumstances:

  • To Vendors and Service Providers. We make personal information available to our vendors, service providers, contractors, and consultants who perform services on our behalf, such as companies that assist us with web hosting (like Cart.com, Inc.), shipping and delivery, payment processing, financing, fraud prevention, customer service, data enrichment, analytics, marketing, and advertising.
  • To the ABG Corporate Family and Licensing Partners. We may disclose personal information among our corporate affiliates and licensing partners, including to other brands in the ABG corporate family, including for their marketing and advertising purposes.   • For Marketing Purposes. We disclose personal information to expand the reach and effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns. Depending on where you reside, these activities may constitute “sales” and you may opt out of these disclosures (see the Opt Out of Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising section below for details). If you provide a product review or otherwise post content on our Services, the public/other users of our Services will be able to see this information.
  • To Law Enforcement Authorities and Individuals Involved in Legal Proceedings. Other Details About Our Information Practices

  • We do not collect information that is considered “sensitive” under State Privacy Laws and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.
  • Our retention periods for personal information are based on business needs and legal requirements. We retain personal information for as long as is necessary for the processing purpose(s) for which we originally collected it and for other business purposes explained in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may retain certain transaction details and correspondence until the time limit for claims arising from the transaction has expired.

Your Privacy Rights

Opt Out of Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Some of the activities described in the targeted advertising and analytics section above may be considered “sales” or “sharing” of your information or use of your information for “targeted advertising” under the State Privacy Law that applies to you. You can opt out of cookie-based ad targeting by following the prompts here. You will need to renew your opt-out choice if you visit our website from a new device or browser or if you clear your cookies because your opt-out choice will be linked to your browser only. You can also opt out of web-based ad targeting by visiting our website with a legally-recognized opt-out preference signal enabled, such as the Global Privacy Control.

In addition to cookie-based ad targeting, we may disclose information about your purchases and contact information (such as email and mailing address) to other brands in the ABG corporate family, advertising partners, and other third parties for marketing and advertising purposes. Access, Correction, and Deletion

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not intentionally gather personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If a child under 16 submits personal information to DC Shoes and we learn that the information is about or from a child under 16, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible.
