International Women's Day 2022
Last year, we kicked off International Women’s Day by featuring our community of riders and creators, inviting collaboration and spotlighting individuals who make up this growing universe. This year to celebrate International Women’s Day, we invited our crew of riders and ambassadors to share their favorite moments of the last year and what keeps them inspired on a daily basis.
We’re excited to spotlight Stefi Luxton from DC Snowboarding, Brooklinn Khoury and Janthavy Norton from DC Women's and Andrea Bethke, Megan George, Susie Heath, and Lexi Briggs from DC Skateboarding.
Last weekend we hosted a Women's Skate Jam at Stoner Park in Los Angeles, CA. Check out all the photos and a video recap from the event.

Favorite moment of 2021?
2021 was the best year, I quit my soul sucking job and I was living off some unemployment money from the covid epidemic and it was the first year I was ever taken on skate trips ! It was always a dream of mine since I was a teenager but I didn’t think it was achievable for me. DC blessed me with the opportunity to travel for skateboarding along side a team of motivated, talented and amazing individuals. It’s also really rad DC started a women’s team. I am very grateful for everyone I spent time with last year and anyone who took their personal time to film or shoot photos of me.
What does skateboarding teach you every day?
That’s a hard one. I feel skateboarding teaches me a lot. How to be confident in myself, to push past fear when trying a trick or something new. How strong you are getting thru an injury. Skateboarding has brought out the best and worst of me so it’s given me some self understanding which is really cool. It also teaches me patience and how to communicate better with other people. How I have made good friends with people I may have never crossed paths with. It shows me how I can express myself and stop comparing myself to others, that we all are unique and have our own styles. And how to use all of the things taught to me by skating to help uplift and inspire other people.
